Public Water Supply Design & Permitting
|
Schreuder,
Inc. was contracted to assist in the site evaluation and permitting for
a 0.5 MGD well-field expansion for public supply use in Pasco County,
Florida. SI provided
documentation of analyses to regulatory agencies of reasonable demand
for the proposed well-field and a detailed lithologic description of the
site. Assessment of the
lateral and vertical migration of saltwater interface due to the
potential effects of groundwater pumping was performed.
SI developed a salinity profile from water quality data collected
on-site and also a numerical groundwater model of the region to support
of the permit application. Potential
contaminant sources were identified and evaluated.
SI successfully obtained the water use permit for the
construction and operation of a public water supply well-field.
