Hydrogeological Assessment of
Subsurface Conditions at Proposed Boyette Road Reservoir
This
project was located in Pasco County (FL) east of Boyette Road, north of Overpass Road
and south of Elam Road. Borrow pit operations have been conducted on the site
leaving two major depressions filled with surface water. SI
oversaw the installation of 9 wells and their subsequent developing, slug
testing and water level monitoring. The slug test data was analyzed using the Bouwer/Rice and Hvorslev methods to
determine each well's hydraulic conductivity. Measurements also indicate that
there exists a well-defined downward hydraulic gradient between the surface
water and the groundwater in the Floridan Aquifer.
Additional data indicate that a downward gradient exists between the groundwater
levels in the Surficial aquifer and the Intermediate aquifer.
